100 H.U.G.S. SCHOLARSHIP

100 H.U.G.S. SCHOLARSHIP
“100 Caring Mothers”
The Mothers of Professional Basketball Players (“The Mothers”) will be accepting applications for their 2012 inaugural 100 H.U.G.S. (Helping Under-Age Girls/Guys Succeed) Scholarships soon. “The Mothers” are a non-profit organization founded in 1994 that recognizes how important teens are to our community, our society, and to our world. These scholarships will be offered to several deserving high school students who present records of outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community service. The amount of the scholarships will be contingent on the availability of funds.
Who’s Eligible?
We’re looking for “first generation” students (the first ones in their family to attend college) with solid grades, who are involved in volunteer efforts in their schools and communities and have a good work history. Students must be planning to attend a college, university or trade school in the fall immediately following their high school graduation. The scholarship will focus on one scholastic year and will be granted on a one-time basis.

President's Corner
Another mission accomplished! Our 100-coat donation was picked up by the Orlando Union Rescue Mission to be distributed to the men, women, and children who are in need! Praise God and thanks to everyone who supported our effort and those that wanted to but didn't have enough notice. Don't worry; we still have work to do!
