Message from Our President
I’m very proud to represent all of you and serve in this capacity for The Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP). We, the membership of this organization make up a new team!
As an organization, we’ve accomplished a few milestones since the year began. We have legally reorganized ourselves as a Non-Profit Organization, completed our first annual conference and fundraiser that raised a substantial amount of money for the Orlando Universal Branch Boys and Girls Clubs, established our regions and chose our Regional Coordinators, made new friends and got reacquainted with the old ones and representatives are now in the process of making arrangements for our next annual conference in Las Vegas! I know that you are all excited as much as I am so just let me be the first to say…”we’ve come a long way baby and I thank all of you!” Keep in mind that each member will play a significant role in the development and direction of MPBP. The Board of Directors is counting on you for input and guidance as well as patience and understanding. Each of us should also make it a point to involve ourselves in the recruiting process so that membership increases each year.
Overall, the resurgence of MPBP is exciting and every new idea, new concept and new structure that we put in place will be a total team effort. I hope to see you all at the conference in Las Vegas! …It’s a brand new day!
In Your Service,
Lucille O’Neal
President, MPBP

President's Corner
Another mission accomplished! Our 100-coat donation was picked up by the Orlando Union Rescue Mission to be distributed to the men, women, and children who are in need! Praise God and thanks to everyone who supported our effort and those that wanted to but didn't have enough notice. Don't worry; we still have work to do!
